Bargainacious!

I've never been happy with the brakes on the 480, and some day I'll actually get round to developing a bigger brake kit, when I'm not constrained by my limited mechanical knowledge and the financial impact.

However my brakes aren't great, and to counter this problem in the short term I've just ordered some new Discs and Pads now for the front, So at least I'll know that I've got all round new discs, pads, and Fluid.

Theres not many performance brake discs around for the 480, and the general reccomendation seems to be to stay away from EBC, and to not bother with anything decorated with grooves or holes. Genuine Discs are a firm favourite, and come in at £40 each from Volvo. However Brembo also do Vented (and indeed Solid) discs, and a quick few phone calls and I'd found a supplier in stock, for £55.

£55 each? NO THATS FOR A PAIR! BARGAIN! Add on the reasonable enough £10 delivery charge and £65 for a pair of Brembo Discs, job done. Now I might have been all sold on the brand here, but for that sort of money I can't complain. Just need to wait for their arrival now, and I'll aim to do a full photo guide of swapping all the discs and pads over etc etc!
