Porsche Power.

Many people wouldn't know that when Volvo originally wanted to create a sports coupe with a potent engine, they turned to Porsche to provide the tuning for the Renault lump. Porsche working with Bosch developed the ECU for the car, the very same ECU thats present in the 928 (in Identical hardware form, just 2 of them controlling each bank of cylinders in the V8). Volvo didn't agree with the amount of power Porsche had got out of the engine, and proceeded to detune the lump to make it well more 'Volvo'

One guy from the owners club after much reverse engineering, contact with Porsche and NDA's with Bosch managed to develop a new ECU map and modification and realise the power that Porsche wanted the Volvo to have. The result is unbelievable, Power in 4th and 5th Gear is just amazing! The mod known as the 'richmod' after Richard who invented it, is just legendry!

So I can expect a few SP30s through the post :)
